AWS cost, carbon, and cloud governance optimization for European SMEs.

Connect your AWS account with read-only access. GreenPilot pulls usage and billing data, runs waste detection, estimates emissions, and surfaces a ranked list of actions. You decide what gets actioned.

What GreenPilot does

Four capabilities covering the main reasons European SMEs lose money, miss emissions reporting signals, and carry unnecessary cloud governance risk.

Cost Optimization

Detect idle, oversized, and underused AWS resources before they become recurring waste. Identify savings potential without touching production.

GreenPilot analyses EC2 utilisation, S3 storage patterns, RDS sizing, EBS volumes, and unattached resources. Findings are ranked by estimated monthly cost impact and implementation effort.

Carbon-Aware Insights

GreenPilot estimates cloud-related CO₂e from your AWS usage data and regional electricity grid intensity. You see which regions, services, and configurations drive your footprint — and where optimizations reduce it.

Estimates use publicly available data from the IEA, EMBER, and the European Environment Agency, mapped to AWS regions. The carbon methodology is under active development — estimates are indicative. Read the methodology →

EU Governance Support

GreenPilot flags cloud configuration observations relevant to GDPR data residency, NIS2 risk posture, and CSRD emissions reporting. It doesn't replace your legal team — it gives them better data to work with.

Governance observations cover: cloud region usage vs. stated data residency requirements, configuration patterns relevant to NIS2 cyber risk, and emissions signals usable in CSRD reporting workflows.

Approval-Based Automation

Every optimization runs only after you sign off. Review each recommendation individually, approve or defer, and track what changed. Nothing touches production without explicit approval.

During the paid optimization phase, approved actions execute through controlled workflows. Rollback planning is included per action. Audit logging is on the roadmap.

EU cloud governance support

GreenPilot doesn't replace your legal or compliance team. It gives them better data: cloud region usage, configuration state, emissions estimates, and flagged risks — structured for GDPR, NIS2, and CSRD reporting contexts.

GDPR-aware cloud controls

Visibility into cloud regions, data residency decisions, and access patterns relevant to GDPR-aligned cloud operations. Flags configurations that may conflict with stated data residency requirements.

GDPR-aware workflows

CSRD-ready reporting support

Estimates and documents cloud-related emissions signals to support sustainability reporting workflows aligned with CSRD expectations. Carbon estimates are indicative — not a substitute for audited sustainability accounting.

CSRD-ready reporting

NIS2-aligned security visibility

Surfaces cloud configuration risks and operational dependencies that may support stronger cyber-risk management and NIS2-aligned practices. Covers resource exposure, access patterns, and dependency mapping.

NIS2-aligned insights

GreenPilot supports governance workflows. It does not guarantee regulatory compliance and does not provide legal advice.

How GreenPilot works

Four components: read-only data collection, a rule-based optimization engine, a dashboard for reviewing recommendations, and a controlled workflow for actioning only what you approve.

Web Dashboard

  • Review savings opportunities and carbon impact
  • Set goals, policies, and region preferences
  • Approve and track optimization actions

Cloud Data Collector

  • Read-only AWS usage and billing data
  • Regional carbon intensity signals
  • Configuration and compliance state data

Optimization Engine

  • Phase 1: rule-based optimization logic
  • Phase 2: ML & reinforcement learning (roadmap)
  • Multi-objective scoring and prioritization

Action Workflow

  • Approval-based execution — you control every action
  • Manual rollback planning per action
  • Audit logging (roadmap)
